Prior to the monkeys

am observing our bodies
embracing each other so genteelly
and harmonically
as usual right behind us
this pretty open sky always so hard to describe when you look at me this way
neat in texture
with is intense line of deep red color
over the horizon
showering the preamble
with a romantic set of endlessness
some how defensive against the dryness of the ecosystem we are standing on
in a peculiar way this evening
you are enjoying the slow waves of wind dancing over our shoulders
whispering words, verbs, and nick names we may never find in our dictionaries
I can feel the caress of your right hand over and along the way on my back towards my legs
"your hips are the corner of the world to me"
to me
to me
to me this most be somebody's place
and I am honored to live in here even for a second
We are kissing
and while this happen I can see a tribe of monkeys stomping toward us...

Dawn at East

My mind is blank so pure
genuinely blank
as a brand new book hidden on the tallest shelve
waiting for you to write on it
Now i sing your stories
with my genuine voice
it happened that the book was drop from the tallest shelve
into the ground like our souls
into the humid earth.

Essay Jean Michel Basquiat and his Crown

Essay/Ensayo: Jean Michel Basquiat ( o El Arte Genetico )

Part 1

During years and after Basquiat death many critics and art curators had speculated about the meaning of the frequent symbol of a crown's like shape appearing in most of its work. In my understanding this symbolism attached to Jean Michel is always related to its life struggle as a young ethnic artist symbolizing failure to an American Society who smartly start really understanding its position on the capitalist economical system.
In this period every ethnicity stablished in the multicultural nation start comprehending racism on the path to success and liberal thinking when trying to be part of a post war Academy that soon pointed the direction where art supposed to go and to whom and where art supposed to belong. There were also a Moral collapse counting from Michel's point of view not only economical but Cultural  ? Where was the Academy or The Cultural Society based on freedom and equality ?

It will be fare to mention that event though Basquiat was a self thought artist as many of the geniuses in history with tremendous amount of intuition also he was a young artist who found himself enlightened by the urban life of the original Concrete Jungle ! The great New York City in the decade of the 1980's  a very expensive journey that erase him physically from the face of the planet.

Part 2

Analyzing his Artistic Work, it will be interesting to observe how the artist seems from the very beginning to have a great connection to its ancestry and the wisdom of PreColombian Cultures, it was gifted with a passional and natural understanding of a term that I will like to title Organic Thinking* and refers in the area of Mythology.

In many of his pieces just as he related to his immediate reality he also  and in great demand reproduces Pre-Hispanic hieroglyphics. Jean-Michel "Basquiat" legacy should give us the confident understanding about its comprehension on terms that range could go from Agriculture to Economical topics and how this affect our life daily basis.
Designed almost as a pure representation of old cultures "Codices" the artist include readings of architectural dimensions planes on Temperature, Time and Space guiding you no only in a particular individual experience but as a map to learn class, religion and political  reality just as a Mayan or Inca Code in the XVII or XVIII centuries.
Will be also pertinent to reflect about the probability that being a wiser mind lead by understandable political criticism towards the state as hermetic control Basquiat  decide to reproduce monolitos on its hieroglyphic poetry represented on arquitectural vocabulary to express universal perspectives on life and to manifest opinions and messages for his contemporaries.

Part 3

Statement
After all this gathering of information motivated by my passion for the life and works  of Jean Michel "Basquiat" I came to the conclusion that the The Crown represent the fracture of a cycle or a contract and what we only see is the down part of the Modern broken Code as the remains ancient ruins.

Me siento ansiosa y desquiciada
mal acostumbrada y tibia
ensimismada y rígida
malhumorada y simplona
Me duele algo y no se que hacer
( sonidos guturales por unos 15 segundos. )

Se me tuerce la boca y bajo de peso
no me gusto y me enojo
desaliñada y huevona mana !
atropellada y sensible
traumada
traumada
traumada y borracha

Vente loca vámonos a trabajar.

Pausadamente y Aqui

Pausadamente y Aquí
sobre esta plataforma azul
con su textura gris
inconcebible esperara el amor
Ah !
Ah !
Ah !
Con un coro multicolor
delicado y sin dolor
sobre la pulcra infinidad
asi será como desde aquí se ve
nuestra intimidad
solemne y calladita
como una niña inquieta y sabia
que se dejara crecer esmera
y apasionada como la noche negra reflejada
sobre el manantial de su virtud.
